Performance & Build Quality

The 25IDS architecture is K-Tech's answer to the limitations of conventional cartridge systems where adjusting one damping parameter influences the other. By keeping the compression and rebound circuits fully independent, the 25IDS kit allows you to build a suspension tune incrementally — softening the rebound for fatigue-free motorway miles without compromising the firm compression control needed when you arrive at your favourite twisty road or circuit. The result is a fork that genuinely adapts to the rider rather than asking the rider to adapt to the fork.

Every component is machined from aircraft-grade aluminium and then hard-anodised before receiving a super-finished surface treatment. This combination minimises stiction in the fork legs, improves oil film consistency, and dramatically extends service intervals compared to standard cartridges — a meaningful benefit for riders who cover high mileage across mixed conditions.

Setup & Installation

K-Tech provides baseline suggested settings to get you on the road quickly: oil/air cap at 145 mm, 12 compression clicks, 18 rebound clicks, and 8 mm preload. These starting points are derived from K-Tech's own development testing on the RSV4 platform and serve as a solid foundation for personal refinement. Installation by an authorised K-Tech Service Centre is recommended to ensure the cartridges are fitted and bled correctly. Matching springs from the 36-260 series must be ordered separately and are not included with this kit.
