Why the PAIR System Causes Problems on Track

The PAIR (Pulsed Secondary Air Injection) system was fitted to the Panigale 1299 from the factory to reduce tailpipe emissions when running the standard exhaust. Once an aftermarket system is installed, the additional air introduced by the PAIR valve disrupts the exhaust gas flow, creating the characteristic popping and backfiring that unsettles corner-exit stability and masks true throttle feel. The JP ES 005 kit removes this interference entirely: with the airbox hole correctly sealed by the CNC-machined plate, the engine management can work with accurate sensor data and maintain the intended fuel map without compensation for unmetered air.
