Construction & Quality
The closure cap is precision CNC-machined from 7075-series aluminium alloy, the same material used in high-load aerospace and motorsport components. Compared to standard 6061 alloy, 7075 offers significantly higher tensile strength, making this a cap that will not deform under the vibration and thermal stress of track use. Heat-resistant rubber caps are included to seal the system cleanly and reliably over the long term, preventing any ingress of debris or moisture once the PAIR circuit is removed.
How It Works
The PAIR system on the stock Ducati Panigale V4/S/R diverts fresh air from the airbox into the exhaust ports to assist combustion of unburnt fuel in the exhaust stream — a measure designed to meet emissions standards with the factory exhaust. When an aftermarket slip-on silencer or full system is fitted, this air injection disrupts exhaust gas scavenging, causes lean spikes in the air/fuel ratio and produces the characteristic popping and banging that plagues so many Panigale V4 owners on track. Installing the JetPrime closure cap blocks these air passages permanently, removing the root cause rather than masking the symptom.
