Engineered from aerospace-grade 7075 Ergal aluminium and optimised using finite element analysis, the IMA Special Parts Racing fork bridge is a precision component built for riders who refuse to compromise. Designed exclusively for the Kawasaki ZX-10 R and ZX-10 RR from 2016 to 2020, it delivers the structural rigidity and front-end feedback that separate a truly sorted chassis from a standard one.

Key Features

  • FEM-optimised construction ensures maximum stiffness exactly where the chassis demands it, translating directly into more precise steering and improved rider confidence under hard braking.
  • 7075 Ergal aluminium offers an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio — ultralight without any sacrifice in rigidity or long-term durability.
  • Adjustable offset from 25 mm to 31 mm allows fine-tuning of steering geometry to suit individual riding styles, tyre compounds, and circuit characteristics.
  • Premium titanium hardware throughout keeps unsprung and rotating mass to a minimum while resisting corrosion in demanding track environments.
  • Improved braking stability and front-wheel feedback give the rider a cleaner picture of grip levels when tipping into corners at speed.
  • A direct, bolt-on replacement for the OEM fork bridge — purpose-built for the ZX-10 R and ZX-10 RR platform.

Premium Construction

The choice of 7075 Ergal aluminium is no coincidence. This aerospace alloy is significantly stiffer and stronger than the more common 6061 grade, yet it remains exceptionally light — a combination that makes it the material of choice in high-performance motorsport applications. IMA Special Parts then uses finite element method (FEM) simulation to remove any excess material from areas that contribute little to structural performance, arriving at a component that is leaner and more efficient than a conventional machined part.

Every fastener supplied with the fork bridge is manufactured from titanium. Titanium hardware reduces overall assembly weight, resists corrosion from road and track contaminants, and maintains clamping force over repeated heat cycles — making it the sensible choice for a safety-critical component subject to heavy braking loads.

Performance on Track and Road

The adjustable offset range of 25 mm to 31 mm gives the rider meaningful control over trail and steering weight. A shorter offset quickens the steering and suits tight, technical circuits; moving toward the longer end of the range adds stability at high speed and under aggressive braking. This level of geometric flexibility is normally reserved for full factory race setups, and having it available on a road-legal or track-day machine is a genuine advantage when dialling in a setup across different venues and conditions.

The improved front-end feedback is a direct consequence of the fork bridge's greater stiffness. Because less energy is lost to flex in the top yoke, the rider receives a cleaner, more immediate signal from the front tyre — which translates into earlier and more confident braking points and a more predictable turn-in.

Fitment and Compatibility

This fork bridge is designed and manufactured specifically for the following motorcycles:

  • Kawasaki ZX-10 R — model years 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020
  • Kawasaki ZX-10 RR — model years 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020
