Race regulations and endurance championships demand more than stock components can offer — the Fullsix Carbon Fuel Tank 25L "EWC" is engineered specifically for the demands of long-distance motorsport on the Ducati Panigale 959 (2016-2019). Manufactured using Autoclave Composite Monocoque (ACM) technology, this oversized 25-litre tank meets the structural rigour expected at the highest level of circuit competition, and carries an important safety classification you must understand before fitting.

Safety notice: this is a motorsport-only component. It does not carry road-use approval and must not be fitted to any motorcycle used on public roads.

Key Features

  • Autoclave Composite Monocoque (ACM) construction — a single-piece shell with no weld seams, eliminating the primary leak risk found in conventional metal tanks and maximising structural integrity under racing loads.
  • Approximately 40% lighter than the OEM fuel tank — a measurable mass reduction that improves chassis balance, handling response and lap-time potential.
  • 25-litre capacity engineered for Endurance World Championship (EWC) race formats, extending range and reducing pit-stop frequency in long-distance events.
  • Direct OEM-pattern fitment with matching mounting points — no drilling, cutting or fabrication required for installation on Panigale 959 models from 2016 to 2019.
  • UV-resistant and weathering-resistant clear coat (glossy and matte finishes) prevents yellowing or colour fade over a racing season.
  • Available in 200 Plain weave (the close-to-OEM Ducati aesthetic) and 245 Twill weave (a finer, modern racing appearance), in glossy, matte or raw finishes.

Motorsport Safety Classification

The Fullsix "EWC" tank is developed and validated under the demands of endurance circuit competition, where structural failure or fuel leakage carries the most serious consequences. The ACM monocoque process produces a single continuous shell: there are no bonded joints, no welded seams and no secondary closures that can fatigue or separate. This construction approach is the same philosophy used in top-level prototype carbon components, and it is the reason Fullsix specifies this tank for EWC-class events.

Because of its oversized volume and motorsport-only specification, this tank is not approved for use on public roads. Installation and use are the sole responsibility of the team or rider, and must comply with the sporting regulations of the relevant championship or circuit.

ACM Technology and Build Quality

Fullsix's autoclave process cures each tank under controlled pressure and heat, producing a higher fibre-to-resin ratio than hand-laminated or resin-infusion alternatives. The result is a denser, stiffer laminate with no internal voids — critical for a fuel-containing component that must resist vibration, thermal cycling and mechanical stress across multi-hour race stints. The monocoque design means the outer carbon skin is also the structural shell, with no internal metal liner adding weight.

Finish and Weave Options

The tank is offered in two carbon weave structures to suit different visual preferences and team liveries. The 200 Plain weave produces a tight, uniform grid pattern close to the appearance of Ducati's own carbon accessories — a natural choice for a factory-adjacent build. The 245 Twill weave uses a diagonal interlace that catches light differently and reads as a more overtly contemporary racing aesthetic.

Each weave is available in the following surface finishes, each identified by its Fullsix part number:

  • Glossy (high-gloss lacquer): MD-9913-C49 (Plain) | MD-9913-TC49 (Twill)
  • Matte: MD-9913-M49 (Plain) | MD-9913-TM49 (Twill)
  • Raw (untreated carbon, no topcoat): MD-9913-R49

Installation

Remove the standard Panigale 959 fuel tank using the OEM fastener positions. The Fullsix EWC tank drops into the same mounting points without modification. All original attachment hardware is reused, and the tank is ready for track use once connected. No brackets, adapters or custom fabrication are required.
