Construction and Ride Quality

The Rapid Tek carbon rim is produced using a pre-preg carbon fibre layup process, ensuring consistent fibre orientation and resin content in every wheel. The result is a rim with the structural rigidity to handle the lateral and torsional forces generated by a superbike at the limit, while the inherent damping characteristics of carbon fibre take the edge off road surface imperfections — a genuine benefit for riders who spend long hours on the machine. The 6082 T6 aluminium hub is machined to tight tolerances, providing a secure seat for the chosen bearing grade and accurate fitment to OEM axle dimensions.

Road and Track Performance

Lighter wheels reduce the gyroscopic effect at each end of the motorcycle, making direction changes feel immediate and natural. On the road this translates to a relaxed, responsive quality that reduces rider fatigue over distance. On circuit the reduced unsprung and rotating mass allows the suspension to follow the track surface more effectively, improving traction under braking and acceleration. Load ratings are engineered well beyond the demands of even aggressive riding: the front wheel handles a radial load of 855 lbs (388 kg), a static load of 341 lbs (155 kg), a lateral bending load of 577 Nm and a torsional load of 543.9 Nm. The rear wheel is rated to a radial load of 994 lbs (451 kg), a static load of 617 lbs (280 kg), a lateral bending load of 772 Nm and a torsional load of 1,030 Nm.
