Construction and Performance

BST's MAMBA 7 TEK design uses a seven-spoke pre-preg carbon fibre rim moulded under heat and pressure for consistent fibre orientation and maximum structural integrity. The hub is machined from 6082 T6 aluminium — a high-strength aerospace-grade alloy that provides a robust interface for the bearings, brake disc, and sprocket without adding unnecessary weight. The result is a wheel set that eliminates the sluggishness of cast alloy hoops and replaces it with immediacy: the ZX-10 R responds to throttle, braking, and steering inputs with a directness that is immediately apparent on the road and decisive on track.

The ultra-high-speed 90° aluminium valves are designed to withstand sustained high-rpm operation without leaking or deforming — a detail that matters when you are running sustained high speeds on circuit. Both steel and ceramic bearing options are available; ceramic bearings are the choice for track-focused riders who want the lowest possible friction and the longest service life under repeated high-temperature loads.
