How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

Where homologation standards define the ceiling, the Arai RX-7V Evo FIM Racing 2 in white meets and exceeds them. Dual-certified to both FIM2 and the stringent ECE R22-06 regulation, this full-face racing helmet represents the current pinnacle of Arai's decades-long pursuit of controlled energy management — delivered in a clean, gloss white finish that is as timeless on track as it is on road.
Key Features
- FIM2 and ECE R22-06 dual homologation — satisfies the latest and most demanding international safety regulations for road and circuit use
- Arai's signature round, smooth shell philosophy promotes glancing-off behaviour, deflecting oblique impacts rather than snagging on obstacles
- Fibre-glass composite shell construction balances rigidity, energy absorption and low weight at approximately 1,550 g (± 50 g)
- VAS MAX Vision visor delivers an expansive field of view in all light conditions, supplied with a Pinlock anti-fog insert as standard
- Eco Pure interior lining is fully removable and washable, with repositioned side air channels for improved internal airflow management
- Double-D-ring retention system — the race-proven fastening standard preferred by competition riders worldwide
- Five-year limited manufacturer warranty
Safety Credentials and Arai's Glancing-Off Philosophy
The RX-7V Evo represents a genuine engineering step forward from the RX-7V. Its development brief centred on meeting ECE R22-06 — a significantly tougher certification than its predecessor — without any compromise to the core Arai safety concept. That concept is built on three principles: a round profile with no sharp protrusions, a smooth outer surface that encourages an impacting helmet to deflect rather than catch, and a shell strong enough to maintain its shape under load so the energy-absorbing liner can do its job correctly.
FIM2 homologation adds a further layer of credential, confirming that this helmet meets the technical requirements mandated for international motorcycle racing. For riders who want a lid that has been validated against the harshest scrutiny available, those two certifications together make the choice straightforward.
Interior Comfort and Everyday Usability
A racing pedigree does not have to mean daily discomfort. Arai has systematically refined the interior of the RX-7V Evo to make long rides as manageable as sprint sessions. The Eco Pure cheek pads detach via rear-mounted hooks, allowing swift removal for cleaning or size adjustment. Side air channels have been relocated to the rear face of the cheek pads, cleaning up the internal architecture and improving airflow routing across the rider's face.
- Fully removable and washable Eco Pure interior lining
- Removable cheek pads with hook detachment at the rear
- Repositioned side air channels for optimised internal ventilation
- Race-fit profile — note that this helmet has a snug, performance-oriented fit and is not recommended for spectacle wearers
Visor and Visibility
The standard-fit VAS MAX Vision visor is one of the broadest in Arai's range, engineered to reduce peripheral blind spots during high-speed riding when head movement is naturally more restricted. The included clear Pinlock insert creates a double-glazing effect that eliminates fogging in cold or humid conditions, making the RX-7V Evo a genuine all-season option for the sport rider who does not want to retrofit anti-fog protection as an afterthought.
- VAS MAX Vision visor — standard fit, wide field of view
- Clear Pinlock anti-fog insert included
- Compatible with Arai's range of tinted and photochromic replacement visors
- No integrated sun visor — in keeping with the pure racing-oriented brief
Design
The FIM Racing 2 white finish is a single-colour gloss design — precise, understated and inherently versatile. It pairs with virtually any motorcycle livery or riding kit without competing for attention, and the gloss lacquer gives the shell a premium depth that reads as high-end in any company. The sizing note for XL applies: the outer shell steps up one size (86 to 88) at XL, which should be considered when assessing storage or fitting requirements.
