Accossato lists the AGS87 for the SXV 450 across 2005 to 2017, a silver clutch lever in the original form.

Key Features

Clutch lever in the original form for the Aprilia SXV 450

Accossato's entry covers 2005 to 2017

Silver

Left-hand side, operates the clutch

An original spare parts type aimed at an affordable repair

Accossato states its manufacturing process improves resistance after damage

One lever supplied

No German ABE or test mark; racing and competition use

Construction and Material Quality

The AGS87 forms part of Accossato's original-shape line, built with an eye on value rather than outright performance. The firm attributes greater resilience after a fall to the way these levers are put together. Beyond the silver finish listed here, nothing further is published about the part.

A Standing Start on Tarmac

Unlike a motocross gate drop, a supermoto start happens on a hard, grippy surface where wheelspin is rarely the problem, so the clutch is released quickly and precisely rather than fed in gradually against loose ground underneath the tyre. That sharp, repeated use through a race weekend puts a different kind of load through the lever and pivot than the gentler clutch work found elsewhere on the same lap, and it is the kind of use that shows up first as a slightly notchy pivot rather than as an obvious fault. A rider who notices the lever feeling less crisp off the line than it used to, even before anything looks visibly wrong, is usually feeling the first sign of wear building up from exactly this kind of repeated hard use at the start line.

Fitment and Compatibility

The front brake on the SXV 450 is a separate part, the silver AGD175, listed by Accossato for the same 2005 to 2017 run. Elsewhere in our catalogue, this AGS87 clutch code also fits the Aprilia MXV 450, the RXV 550 and the SXV 550, which share the clutch assembly.

Road Approval

No approval documents were supplied with the AGS87, so neither a German ABE nor a test mark can be shown, and the lever is listed for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

One silver AGS87 clutch lever.

Specifications

Type: Replacement clutch lever, original type

Part number: AGS87

Position: Clutch, left handlebar

Lever colour: Silver

Pieces: 1

Fitment: Aprilia SXV 450 (2005–2017)

Road approval: None documented, track use only

Check: Compare with your original lever before ordering

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/AGS87_01095cb6-8b14-4775-aecd-c888972b1e3a.png?v=1792001664
