AGPA76OR is its Organic version, the natural choice for a classic café racer that is mostly ridden gently. It gives a progressive feel at the pedal, runs quietly and is made to be easy on the rear disc, which suits riders who value a calm rear brake over a sharp one.

Key Features

Rear brake pads AGPA76 for the Thruxton 900, 2004 to 2005 and ACE 2015

Organic compound, SKU AGPA76OR

Accossato: long service life and limited disc wear

Easy to control at low speed

Quiet in traffic and on short rides

Gentle on the rear rotor

The same pad is available as ST

No approval documents; sold for competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato says its Organic mixture maintains its performance for a long time and restricts wear on the disc. For the rear brake of a Thruxton 900, which is used lightly and often, that is a practical combination. The maker also aims for limited heat to avoid fade and for reliable stopping.

A Light Touch

On a Thruxton 900 the rear brake helps with slow manoeuvres, parking on a camber and steadying the bike in a queue. A progressive pad makes those small inputs easier to judge. Organic pads are also known for low noise, which fits the relaxed character of the bike. They work from cold, which matters on the short journeys typical of a classic café racer. Anyone who rides the Thruxton 900 mainly for pleasure, in no hurry and often with friends at a relaxed pace, will find that a smooth, quiet rear brake simply fits the way the bike is used.

Checking an Older Rear Brake

Inspect the rear disc for grooves, check the caliper for corrosion and replace the fluid if it has darkened. Keep chain lube away from the disc.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPA76 is listed by Accossato for the rear of the Thruxton 900 in 2004 and 2005 and for the Thruxton 900 ACE of 2015; other years are not included.
