This set uses the Organic mixture. It suits owners of older ZX-6R bikes who ride gently, look after their machine and want a rear brake that is quiet and easy on the disc.

Key Features

Rear pads AGPP102 for the Kawasaki ZX-6R, 1993 to 2017

Organic mixture, SKU AGPP102OR

Accossato: longer performance and reduced disc wear

Gentle, progressive pedal feel

Quiet in everyday use

Helps an original rear disc last

Sintered (ST) also made on this plate

No ABE on file; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato says the Organic compound keeps performing for a long time and limits wear on the disc. On an older ZX-6R, where replacement discs may be harder to find in original form, that is a real benefit. Accossato also names fade resistance through limited heat and a dependable braking effect.

Caring for an Early ZX-6R

Owners of a 1990s or early 2000s ZX-6R often use their bike on sunny weekends and in the occasional classic gathering. They want it to stay as original as possible and to run smoothly. The rear brake is used lightly in that kind of riding, and an Organic pad gives a soft, progressive response that is easy to dose. It also works quietly, which suits relaxed rides.

Older calipers may have stiff pistons or worn seals. When changing the pads, clean the pistons, check for leaks and replace the fluid if it is old. Take care not to damage the rubber boots.

Winter Storage

Before storing the bike, clean the rear caliper and disc, and check the fluid. In spring, pump the pedal a few times and make a few gentle stops before riding off.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPP102 for the rear of the ZX-6R 600 from 1993 to 1997 (with a separate entry for 1995 to 1997), 1998 to 2001 and 2007 to 2017, and for the ZX-6R 636 from 2002 to 2006. For 636 bikes from 2013, Accossato also lists AGPP39, so owners of 2013 to 2017 models should compare their old pads. The front pads listed for the ZX-6R are AGPA107, AGPA140 and AGPA267, and the disc is DK235. One box fits the rear caliper.

Road Approval

We hold no ABE or German approval documentation for AGPP102OR.
