On a sports tourer such as the Ninja H2 SX it can find its way into the gaps between tank, panels and frame, where it is out of sight, slow to evaporate and close to hot parts. It can also mark paint, and some plastics and rubbers do not take kindly to it over time. The answer is to avoid the spill in the first place. Pour from a can with a long, narrow spout or through a funnel that reaches into the neck, stop well before the level rises into it, and hold a rag under the spout as you pull it away. If fuel does run, wipe it at once, look into the gaps with a torch and dab out what you can reach. Only then close the pawl of the FC126 and check that the cap is seated.
