It appeals to riders who like a bike to look purposeful rather than flashy, and it leaves plenty of room for one well-chosen detail. Accossato lists the FC104 for the Monster 821 Dark from 2015 to 2020, a CNC-machined aluminium cap with quick release whose quick-closing pawl carries a pin in one of six colours.

Key Features

Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Ducati Monster 821 Dark, 2015 to 2020

Entirely CNC-machined aluminium

Quick-closing pawl for opening and shutting the tank quickly

Pin in black, silver, red, blue, gold or green

Pawl sold separately if a replacement is needed

Accossato code FC104

No German ABE on record; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes the FC104's design as new and eye-catching, and the colour of the pin is what makes each cap your own. That pin sits on the quick-closing pawl, which allows the tank to be opened and closed quickly. The cap itself is made entirely of aluminium, CNC-machined, and Accossato says this makes it robust and durable. A damaged pawl can be replaced with one bought separately, which is reassuring on a bike you intend to keep looking neat.

One Accent on a Matt Black Bike

On a black Monster, the pin is likely to be the only colour on top of the tank, so it pays to choose carefully. Red is the classic Ducati answer and looks deliberate against matt paint. Gold gives a warmer, more traditional look. Blue and green are unusual on a Ducati and suit owners who like to stand apart. Silver adds a technical touch without much colour, and a black pin keeps the whole bike dark. Look at the bike in daylight and in shade before deciding, because matt paint changes character between the two. If you also run coloured levers or footrest parts, let the pin follow them, so the bike carries one accent colour rather than several. Matt finishes also show fuel stains more readily than gloss, so wipe up drips straight after refuelling and never use an abrasive product on the paint around the filler.

Fitment and Compatibility

The FC104 is listed by Accossato for the Monster 821 Dark from 2015 to 2020. Separate entries cover the standard 821 and the 821 Stripe, and the SuperSport 950 S uses the FC104 too. Before ordering, set your bike's year beside the list.

Road Approval

The FC104 has no documented German ABE or expert report and is meant for track use. Most original caps lock, and the Monster 821 Dark should keep its factory cap for riding on public roads.

Scope of Delivery

One Accossato FC104 fuel tank cap with the pin in the colour you pick.

Specifications

Type: Quick-release fuel tank cap

Part number: FC104

Material: CNC-machined aluminium

Closure: Quick-closing pawl

Pin colours: Black, silver, red, blue, gold, green

Spare part: Replacement pawl available separately

Fitment: Ducati MONSTER 821 DARK (2015–2020)

Road approval: None documented, track use only

Check: Confirm fitment against the application list before ordering

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/FC104_N_41e46bb3-f642-4462-ba15-f13b5c41cfa9.png?v=1790038116
