Beneath the old cap sits the original diaphragm or seal. When you book the job, mention that you would like the TS005 fitted at the same time. The reservoir has to be opened anyway, so the new cap goes on once, while the workshop already has the fresh fluid, the cloths and the covers out. If you would rather fit it yourself later, choose a dry day. Turn the handlebar until the reservoir sits level, lay a cloth over the tank and any painted parts nearby, and keep the reservoir open for as short a time as you can. The level should sit between the marks. Close the cap with a gentle hand rather than force, and wash any drop that lands on paint off with water at once. Then pull the lever several times while the bike stands still.
