Before fitting, clean the new discs with brake cleaner and hold them by the edges; a greasy thumbprint on the ring is enough to spoil the first stops. Then bed the parts in. Find a quiet road and make a series of moderate stops from medium speed, without coming to a complete halt and without holding the brake on while stationary, so that pad material is laid evenly onto the rings. Let everything cool before asking for hard braking.
