If the noise stays, stop and look: a stone wedged in the caliper can score the disc badly in a short time. After the race, clean the brake with water and a soft brush, take the pads out if necessary and rinse the caliper. Check the pads for chipped edges and glazing, and lightly chamfer their leading edges if the noise continues. A disc with deep grooves from trapped stones should be measured, and replaced if it is near the printed minimum.
