Its job is to wipe the piston clean each time it moves and stop dirt, water and brake dust from working their way past it towards the piston seal and the fluid side of the caliper. Because it sits at the very front of the bore it is usually the first seal to show its age, and the listing price covers one seal of this diameter.

Key Features

Genuine Accossato dust seal

30 mm diameter

Fits Accossato radial brake calipers

Sold as a single seal

Compatibility

Made for Accossato radial brake calipers with a 30 mm piston bore. As with the other diameters in the range, Accossato does not tie this seal to a specific caliper code, so the bore should be measured directly before ordering.

Fitting Notes

The old seal should be eased out of its groove rather than cut, so as not to mark the bore it sits in, and the new seal pressed in by hand around its full circumference until it beds down flat. A light smear of clean brake fluid on the seal makes it easier to seat without stretching it, and the piston should move freely once everything is back together.

Scope of Delivery

1x Accossato dust seal GP030, Ø 30 mm.

Specifications

Part number: GP030

Type: Dust seal

Diameter: 30 mm

Fits: Accossato radial brake calipers

Fitment: Accossato products listed in the description; no vehicle-specific fitment
