The cure is a smooth, slightly longer slip through the friction zone with a few more revs than you would use on a big twin. That is harder to do well when the lever sits at the limit of your reach, because a stretched hand tends to release the clutch in steps rather than in one fluid movement. Set the reach so that you can hold the lever at the bite point with a relaxed hand and comfortably bent fingers, then practise a few starts on a quiet road until the amount of slip becomes automatic. On a slope, hold the bike with the rear brake so that the right hand can concentrate on the throttle. The long ESV04A lowers the effort of holding the clutch, which makes a slow release easier.
