If your Z1000SX lives outdoors in a sunny climate, a breathable cover protects the levers along with the seat and the paintwork. Heat is the other side of a southern tour. Summer gloves are thinner, and a clutch lever set for autumn gloves then sits further away than it needs to. On a hot trip, bring the ESK750 in a little so the take-up comes with the fingers comfortably curled, and turn it back out when the heavier gloves return.
