On a bike that is used for long tours, the long ESH011 is therefore worth considering: every single pull becomes a little easier, and over a full day that is noticeable. If the hand has to open wide before it can pull, the small muscles in the forearm do extra work every time. Bring the lever in until your fingers close around it comfortably with the hand still resting on the grip, then check that the clutch still frees completely at full pull.
