When you brake hard on the Speed Triple 1050, the deceleration pushes you forward, and if the arms take that load they stiffen, the grip on the bar tightens and fine control at the lever is gone. The better technique is to squeeze the tank with your knees and let the legs and core carry the body, leaving the arms relaxed and the fingers free to meter the brake. The lever then needs to be where relaxed fingers fall naturally. Set the EDF099's reach so that the blade meets your fingers when your hand rests loosely on the grip.
