The design is deliberately simple. There is no folding joint, and the blade moves only about its pivot, so the feel at the lever stays the same from the first ride to the thousandth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eThe Bike You Keep After the A2 Years\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlenty of new riders spend their first years on a restricted GSX-S950 and then have the restriction removed instead of changing bikes. The motorcycle changes character at that point, and so, often, does the rider: more confident, braking later and harder, perhaps trying a first track day. An adjustable lever keeps pace with that development. Choose the length once. A short blade suits smaller hands and two-finger braking, while the standard blade leaves room for four fingers when you want them. Then let the reach follow your progress. At the start, set the EDF014 close to the grip, where a new rider's hand finds it quickly and can squeeze progressively without stretching. Later, as braking becomes firmer and more practised, many riders move the blade out a little to gain travel and a more deliberate feel. None of this needs new parts, only a few minutes with the adjuster.
