On the EDF099, the pivot bore and the reach adjuster in the hub are machined precisely enough for the blade to move smoothly. The finished lever is anodised: black for the hub on every version, and the colour of your choice for the blade. It is a fixed lever, with no folding joint, so the blade responds as one rigid piece from the first lap of the morning to the last.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eThe Last Session of the Day\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFatigue shows in the hands first. Forearms that were relaxed in the morning start to grip harder, the fingers lose some of their feel, and braking becomes a little later and a little rougher without the rider noticing. Three things help. Set the lever so that full braking needs no stretch: on the ZX-10R, adjust the EDF099 until the blade sits under the first joints of your braking fingers while the palm rests lightly on the grip. Drink and rest between sessions, because dehydration dulls concentration well before you feel thirsty. And be honest with yourself: if the laps feel ragged, sitting out the final session is a decision experienced riders make all the time.
