The lever is fixed, with no joint along the blade, and its reach adjuster is placed in the hub beside the pivot.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWhen the Handlebar Changes\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA higher bar or a riser brings the grips up and back and changes the angle between your forearm and the lever; a lower, flatter bar does the opposite. Either way, the original lever position may no longer suit you. The first thing to reset is the angle of the brake assembly on the bar, as far as the hose allows, and then the reach of the EDB012, so that the blade sits under the first joints of your fingers when you are seated normally. Any bar change that affects the brake line should be checked by someone who knows the job, since the hose needs enough length at full lock in both directions.
