The Brembo RCS 19 x 18-20 radial master cylinder (part number 110A26310) is one of the few genuine racing-derived brake pumps that carries full ABE type approval and a KBA number, making it street-legal without compromise. Developed from Brembo's MotoGP programme and refined for demanding road and trackday use, it delivers a level of feel and power that standard OEM units simply cannot match.

Key Features

  • Street-legal with ABE approval and KBA number — full type approval for road use across Germany and the EU, with no registration complications.
  • RCS (Ratio Control System) — the lever ratio is rider-adjustable on the fly: 19x18 (red marking) for progressive, soft modulation; 19x20 (black marking) for a more direct, immediate bite. No tools required to switch between settings.
  • Forged aluminium body, CNC-machined and hard-anodised — exceptional rigidity with minimal flex under maximum braking load, resisting corrosion across all weather conditions.
  • Folding brake lever — engineered to pivot rather than snap in a low-speed tip-over, protecting the lever and reducing the chance of being stranded roadside.
  • Compatible with DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 brake fluid — suitable for both street and high-temperature trackday cycling.
  • Mechanical brake light switch included — plug-and-play integration for road-registered motorcycles without additional wiring adaptors.

RCS Technology and On-Road Performance

What sets the Brembo RCS system apart is the ability to tailor lever feel to the conditions and the rider's preference without removing the master cylinder from the bike. Selecting 19x18 increases the mechanical advantage slightly, producing a longer, softer lever stroke that suits wet roads, cold tyres, or riders who prefer to trail-brake progressively into corners. Switching to 19x20 shortens the effective stroke, delivering a sharper, more immediate response favoured on circuit where maximum initial bite matters. The M10 x 1.0 brake line port is the standard radial master cylinder thread used across the majority of modern supersport and superbike platforms, making hose routing straightforward.

Construction and Safety

The pump body is forged rather than cast — a critical distinction that produces a denser grain structure, higher fatigue resistance, and a noticeably stiffer feel at the lever. CNC machining ensures bore tolerances are held to racing specifications, and the hard-anodised finish protects the aluminium from brake fluid splash, stone chips, and UV degradation. The folding lever pivot is a genuine safety feature: at 262 g the entire assembly is lighter than many OEM cast units, yet the folding design means a parking-speed fall is far less likely to leave you without a brake lever. This combination of certified safety compliance, precision engineering, and adjustability is why the RCS 19 x 18-20 is trusted by riders who use the same machine on the road Monday and the track at the weekend.
