Construction and Materials

The entire header system is fabricated from titanium, chosen for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to the sustained heat cycles a high-revving V4 produces. Spring-loaded joints use metal-capped gasket springs throughout, ensuring a leak-free seal under the harshest track conditions. Every weld is laid by hand in a controlled-atmosphere environment, a production standard borrowed directly from SC-Project's WorldSBK programme.

The SC1-R silencer pairs a carbon fibre shell with a carefully tuned internal geometry that SC-Project developed alongside Aprilia Racing. The result is a power curve that pulls cleanly from mid-range and continues building past the redline, complemented by a harmonic, full-throated exhaust note that is as rewarding at trackday pace as it is at full race speed.

On Track

For riders looking to extract the maximum from the RSV4 1100 Factory on circuit, SC-Project recommend pairing this system with a professional ECU remap. The optimised flow characteristics of the 4-2-1 layout respond well to fuelling recalibration, and the gains quoted above were measured on a dyno with the system fully installed and the engine management adjusted accordingly. The dB killer is straightforward to remove, allowing the system to meet most circuit noise limits when fitted, and to run unrestricted when regulations permit.
