Race Division Engineering

The Piega R is not a road wheel adapted for occasional track days — it was conceived from the outset by the OZ SBK Racing department as a dedicated circuit wheel. The forged aluminium construction is taken a step further than the standard Piega range, shaving additional mass from areas where it matters most: rotational inertia. Less rotating mass means the front end responds more quickly to rider input, the suspension can work more effectively over kerbs and bumps, and the overall balance of the CBR 1000 RR SP2 improves under braking and through fast direction changes.

Finish and Durability

Both colour options — Techno Black and Techno Gold — are anodised rather than painted. Anodising integrates the colour into the surface of the aluminium rather than sitting on top of it, resulting in a finish that resists scratching, track grime and brake dust far more effectively than conventional coatings.
