The Talos X80 is the flagship of the Talos SBK racing caliper range — a no-compromise, purpose-built monoblock caliper machined to deliver factory-level braking performance on genuine superbikes and professional race machines. This is not a road part, not a plug-and-play upgrade, and not compatible with OEM forks. It exists for one purpose: maximum braking power under the most extreme track conditions.

Key Features

  • Monoblock construction machined from a single billet body for absolute rigidity — no flex, no distortion under hard braking loads
  • P4 piston configuration — 2 × 34 mm and 2 × 38 mm titanium pistons with TIN coating for exceptional heat resistance and minimised friction
  • Hard anodised finish delivers superior scratch resistance, high thermal stability and a purposeful racing aesthetic built to survive long stints
  • 108 mm SBK racing mount — a pure superbike specification designed for professional race suspension, not production forks
  • 22.5 mm offset and compatibility with 290–330 mm discs covers the full range of serious SBK and trackday builds
  • Approximately 640 g — lightweight for a caliper of this class, without sacrificing structural integrity

Monoblock Construction — Where Premium Material Meets Race Engineering

The X80 body is machined as a single monoblock unit, eliminating the split-body flex that limits the performance ceiling of conventional calipers. Under the repeated, violent braking events that define superbike racing, a split caliper body introduces micro-flex into the hydraulic circuit — dulling the pressure point and costing confidence. The X80's monoblock architecture removes that variable entirely.

The result is a pressure point that is immediate and razor-defined, full modulation authority at the apex even after repeated heavy braking, and measurably later braking markers lap after lap. The hard anodised surface treatment reinforces this ethos of material integrity: it resists heat-induced surface degradation, shrugs off brake dust and abrasion, and maintains dimensional stability through sustained high-temperature running that would compromise lesser finishes.

P4 34/38 Titanium Pistons — Power and Precision Together

The four-piston arrangement pairs two 34 mm leading pistons with two 38 mm trailing pistons to deliver a deliberately progressive clamping force profile. Initial bite is aggressive and immediate; modulation as the rider refines brake pressure through the corner entry remains precise and predictable. Consistent hydraulic behaviour under sustained heat is critical at circuit level, and the titanium pistons with TIN (titanium nitride) coating address this directly — titanium's low thermal conductivity shields the fluid from heat soak, while the TIN surface treatment cuts friction within the bore for a cleaner, more consistent actuation feel across the entire race distance.

108 mm Racing Mount — Built for Professional Race Suspension

The 108 mm bolt-circle mounting is a dedicated SBK superbike standard. It is not interchangeable with the OEM fork mount dimensions found on production motorcycles. This caliper requires a racing or aftermarket fork or bracket system engineered to this specification.

Important fitment notes:

  • Not compatible with standard OEM forks
  • Not suitable for road or public highway use
  • Not a plug-and-play fitment without a compatible racing chassis
  • Designed and built exclusively for professional race machines, superbike builds and high-specification trackbikes
