The Öhlins FGRT 201 brings Swedish precision suspension engineering to your Kawasaki ZX-10R, delivering a ride quality that remains composed and confidence-inspiring whether you are threading through fast motorway miles or pushing hard through a track day. Designed specifically for the ZX-10R (2011–2015), the FGRT 201 balances outright performance with a level of all-day comfort that stock suspension simply cannot match.

Key Features

  • 30 mm cartridge kit at the core — provides damping consistency and sensitivity across the full range of road and track conditions
  • Independent compression and rebound adjustment — compression tuned at the left leg, rebound at the right, so you can dial in exactly the response you need without compromise
  • 120 mm travel with a 10.0 N/mm spring rate — optimised to keep the ZX-10R planted under hard braking and through fast direction changes
  • 740 mm total length — a direct, correctly proportioned fitment for the 2011–2015 chassis
  • Road and track type code — engineered to perform from daily road riding through to circuit use, with no single-use trade-offs
  • ABE approval (Germany) for model years 2011–2014, enabling road-legal fitment on German-registered machines

Engineered for the Performance Rider

Öhlins developed the FGRT series for riders who demand genuine chassis feedback rather than a softened, filtered ride. The upside-down design keeps unsprung mass low, which sharpens steering response and reduces the gyroscopic forces that blunt feedback through the bars on conventional right-side-up forks. The 30 mm cartridge ensures the damping oil is controlled with the kind of precision that direct racing development demands, keeping the front end stable under repeated heavy braking without sacrificing the suppleness needed for longer road stints.

Comfort Meets Control

Unlike track-only suspension that transmits every imperfection with punishing rigidity, the FGRT 201 is tuned for the Road and Track segment — meaning it absorbs road surface irregularities smoothly enough to reduce fatigue on extended rides while remaining responsive the moment pace increases. The spring part number 04744-10, from the 04744 series, has been selected to match the ZX-10R's geometry and weight distribution, giving a neutral, comfortable initial stroke that firms up progressively under load.
