Construction & Performance

The Indy-Race canister is built around an aluminium outer body — the same material choice Arrow uses on their competition silencers. Aluminium dissipates heat efficiently, resists corrosion and keeps the overall weight as low as possible. The 350 mm body accepts a 60 mm inlet connection and delivers a 50 mm outlet, pairing neatly with the Arrow mid-pipe 71679MI. Note that this silencer is not compatible with the OEM mid-pipe and must be used in conjunction with Arrow mid-pipe 71679MI.

Inside, stainless steel baffling and packing materials handle the thermal and acoustic demands of a 1000 cc inline-four, maintaining consistent back-pressure characteristics across the rev range. The carbon fibre end-cap adds a further visual statement while contributing to the overall weight saving.

Road & Track Use

The E-number approval means the 71869AK is ready for daily road use without any paperwork concerns. When heading to the track, removing the dB-killer takes seconds and opens up the full Indy-Race sound signature. For riders who want the maximum performance benefit, a custom ECU mapping is recommended to take full advantage of the improved exhaust flow and throttle response the Arrow system enables. The silencer can also be paired with an Arrow header to form a complete system, further amplifying power delivery and mid-range torque.
