DescriptionThe whole story▼
A violet frame, a pink strap and a white nose section give this Sidi Gravix a look of its own. The lens is clear, rated category 0 and meant for the conditions that make tinted goggles hard work: low cloud, shaded tracks, wet weather and evening light.
The Violet/Pink version shares everything else with its siblings, including a quoted weight of 118 grams, adjustable outriggers, a foam made of two layers and a strap that grips the helmet with silicone.
Key Features
- Violet frame, pink strap, white nose section
- Clear category 0 lens for grey and dim conditions
- Coating against fog, treatment against scratches
- Anti-intrusion frame, reinforced lens construction
- Strap with silicone lining for helmet grip
- Adjustable outriggers and two-layer foam
- 118 g, one size
Ideal Conditions
Sidi recommends this lens for low light, cloudy skies and overcast days. That covers a good part of the riding year: autumn and winter practice, forest stretches, motos that start under rain clouds and sessions that run into dusk. In those situations a clear lens shows the ground as it is, without darkening ruts and shadows further.
Strap Grip
An elastic strap holds the Gravix on the helmet, and its inner face is lined with silicone. The silicone grips the shell, which keeps the goggle from creeping when you jump, accelerate hard or ride a stretch of rough, braking-bump-covered ground. Outriggers on the frame are adjustable so the goggle adapts to your helmet's shape; Sidi credits them with improved pressure distribution and balanced strap tension.
Protection Behind the Lens
The frame follows an anti-intrusion concept to keep dirt and debris out, and the manufacturer describes the lens as reinforced against impacts. Sidi gives no certification for these properties, and the list marks no CE standard for the goggle, so they remain manufacturer statements.
Light Transmission Explained
Lens categories describe how much visible light gets through, given as VLT. Sidi's chart for the Gravix range shows category 0 at 80 to 100 percent, category 1 at 43 to 79 percent and the S2 mirror lens in category 2 at 19 to 42 percent. This goggle uses the category 0 lens, the most transparent. Its surface has a scratch-resistant treatment, and an anti-fog coating reduces condensation to keep the view consistent during the ride.
Foam
Sidi fits two layers of foam to the face side. The aim is a comfortable, secure fit and effective moisture management, so sweat is absorbed instead of running into your eyes. The material list shows the foam as polyurethane, 12 percent of the total, next to 45 percent TPU, 25 percent polycarbonate, 15 percent PES and 3 percent silicone and other materials. The goggle is made in China and built with replaceable components.
What You Should Know
For sunny conditions a clear lens is a compromise at best, since it lets almost all light through. The Gravix carries no stated safety standard. Sidi does not mention tear-off pins, roll-off systems, compatibility with prescription glasses or ventilation, and does not specify which replaceable components are sold individually. It is one size for everyone.
Colour
The frame is violet, while the nose bridge is white and stands out clearly against it. The strap is a bold pink with white SIDI lettering, held by white clips. The combination looks fresh and works well with pink, purple, white or black gear. White and pink parts pick up mud quickly, so a rinse after wet days keeps the contrast; the violet frame copes better with everyday grime.
