A spacer that is a millimetre short changes the preload on a shim stack, and with it the damping.

Key Features

Dimension B 35 mm

Dimension C 40 mm

Dimension A 31 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 08101-12

Function

This one measures 31 mm, 35 mm, 40 mm, and those figures are what separate it from the neighbouring numbers. Small parts are what hold a rebuild together — the wrong circlip or washer is enough to fail the job. A plug that seals a gas port is a pressure part despite its size. Stainless where corrosion matters, hardened where load matters — the choice is made per position.

Genuine Service Part

The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order.

Identifying the Right Part

Order under 08101-12. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Öhlins states dimension a 31 mm, dimension b 35 mm, dimension c 40 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Öhlins gives each length its own number because the assembly depends on it. Spacers are machined rather than cut, so the ends are square and the load is even.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 08101-12

Category: Spacers

Dimension A: 31 mm

Dimension B: 35 mm

Dimension C: 40 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/08101-12_65f31db5-b03b-49ca-979e-47a2890f57c9.png?v=1788878134
