Öhlins specifies thread-locking compound by position; not every fastener wants it.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 05688-02

What It Is

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Retaining rings come in a groove-specific thickness — the next size does not hold. A wrong washer under an adjuster changes the click range without anyone noticing why. Spacers set the internal geometry of the unit, which means their length is a specification and not a filler.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it.

How to Be Sure It Fits

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 05688-02. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Small parts are cheap until one of them is missing on a Friday afternoon. Substituting a spacer changes the internal geometry, not just the fit.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05688-02

Category: Spacers

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05688-02_6ac6d100-0f9b-4645-b7ce-825c889952f0.png?v=1788874528
