Mounting hardware is model-specific even where the damper body is common.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 02272-14

Original Öhlins service part

What It Is

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Öhlins machines its housings from solid rather than casting them, which keeps the bores true. Reservoir housings hold the gas charge and are pressure-rated accordingly. Housings carry bores for adjusters and seals; their concentricity decides whether the unit seals.

Why the Original

Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Order under 02272-14. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Mounting hardware is specific to the machine and the unit it belongs to. Öhlins anodises housings for corrosion resistance rather than for looks.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 02272-14

Category: Brackets

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/02272-14_572cf2d6-4ced-4beb-a2b7-6db743b8f050.png?v=1788871705
