DescriptionThe whole story▼
Getting your suspension dialled in starts with knowing exactly how much fork travel you are using. The K-Tech 25K-028B travel indicator slips onto the fork leg of any Aprilia RSV4, RSV4 1100 Factory, R, RR or RF built between 2009 and 2026, giving you a clear, at-a-glance read of used travel after every session — on road or track — without removing or dismantling the fork.
Key Features
- Precise travel measurement: slides onto the fork stanchion and retains the maximum travel position reached during a ride, so you can read it accurately at rest.
- Correct 43 mm inner diameter — a direct, rattle-free fit on the RSV4 fork tube with no adaptation needed.
- Installs with the fork fully assembled — no fork disassembly, no specialist tools required.
- Helps identify under- or over-sprung conditions, enabling confident spring and damping adjustments between sessions.
- Compact K-Tech design: low-profile and lightweight so it never interferes with fork action or fairing clearances.
- Covers the full RSV4 lineage from the original 2009 model right through to the 2026 production run.
Why a Travel Indicator Matters
Suspension setup is guesswork without data. A travel indicator tells you whether your fork is bottoming out, sitting too high in its travel or working in the ideal mid-stroke window. Armed with that information you can adjust preload, compression or spring rate with purpose rather than feel alone. For track days in particular, where conditions change lap by lap, a K-Tech travel indicator is one of the simplest and most cost-effective tuning aids available.
Fitment and Installation
The 25K-028B mounts directly to the outer fork tube with the suspension in situ. There is no need to bleed the fork, remove the wheel or touch the triple clamp. Simply slide the indicator over the stanchion, set it to the top of travel and ride. After your session, read off the deepest point reached and use that figure to refine your setup.
