DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 030 removes the Street Scrambler's charcoal canister out of the frame and answers the purge circuit.
Key Features
- Triumph Street Scrambler (2017–2020)
- Removes the evaporative canister and its hoses
- Vents the tank through a proper fitting
- Closes the purge valve circuit
- Clears the space behind the engine
- Standard parts refit at any time
A Removable Pillion Seat
Swapped for a luggage rack in minutes, which is the kind of practical detail Triumph does well and rivals frequently forget.
Two Hundred and Twenty-Three Kilograms
Wet, which is a great deal for something styled as a scrambler and the honest limit on how far off tarmac it will go.
Type Approval
Evaporative control belongs to the approval in the markets that mandate it, and removing it there moves the motorcycle into competition use.
Emissions Inspection
Where the test includes a visual check, an absent canister is a straightforward failure. Refitting it before the appointment is an evening's work.
Not a Restricted Part
Nothing about the removal requires specialist knowledge or equipment. It is one of the more approachable jobs on a modern motorcycle.
Where the Space Goes
Rear shock, linkage, exhaust hanger and any luggage frame all compete for the same volume behind the engine. Clearing the vessel is frequently what makes an accessory fit without improvisation.
What Does Not Change
Power, torque, throttle response, fuel consumption and the way the motorcycle rides. Anybody promising otherwise is describing something they have not measured.
Two Halves of the Job
The tank needs somewhere to breathe and the controller needs an answer on the purge circuit. A kit that supplies only one of those leaves a complaint behind, which is why both are included.
Where It Sits on a Tiger
Behind the engine and under the tail on most of the range, which on an adventure bike is exactly where luggage frames want to be.
Bought for the Look, Kept for the Ride
A great many Street Scramblers are sold on their appearance and then turn out to be genuinely pleasant motorcycles to use every day. Owners who expected a fashion accessory and found a good bike tend to keep them considerably longer than they planned.
