DescriptionThe whole story▼

Not every Kawasaki Z300 is a fair-weather toy. Plenty are ridden in rain, in winter and with a passenger on the back. For those bikes Accossato offers the AGPA77 pad in the Sintered (ST) compound, listed for the Z300 from 2015 to 2016 and fitting both calipers. The sintered mix is the choice for riders who want a firm, repeatable feel on wet roads and who value a brake that behaves the same way from the first mile of a trip to the last.

Key Features

  • Sintered (ST) compound for front or rear caliper
  • Kawasaki Z300, 2015 to 2016
  • High, steady grip whether cold or warm
  • Bites well on wet discs, according to Accossato
  • Useful for pillion and all-season riding
  • Two pads per box for one caliper
  • Organic (OR) version sold separately

Construction and Material Quality

In Accossato's description, the sintered compound delivers a high and constant grip level at high and low temperatures and grips well in the wet. On a small twin that carries a passenger now and then, that consistency is welcome. Accossato also designs its pads for reduced wear, long life and limited heating to fight fade.

Wet Days and a Passenger on Board

With a pillion on the back, a Z300 needs more from both brakes, and wet weather narrows the margin further. A sintered pad keeps the response predictable so you can judge your stopping distance with confidence. Before a winter season, look at the pads through the caliper window, check the fluid level in both reservoirs and clean road grime off the calipers. After fitting new pads, pump the lever and the pedal until they are firm again, then bed the pads in with gentle stops. Riding in spray also means checking the rear pads more often, as they collect more dirt from the front wheel.

Fitment and Compatibility

The AGPA77 is listed by Accossato for the Kawasaki Z300 from 2015 to 2016 (Z 300 2015-2016) and fits front and rear alike. A box covers one caliper; the Z300 has a single front disc, so both ends together need two boxes. Accossato's DK271 disc is listed for this bike, and the same pad also comes in Organic (OR).

Road Approval

We have no ABE or test mark documentation for these pads, and therefore offer them for racing and competition use.
