DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Accossato PRS 16x17-18-19 with a Revolution lever takes the single-disc 16 mm piston and its three-position adjustable pivot, 17, 18 or 19 mm, and adds a lever whose length can be set independently by adding or removing inserts. It suits riders on single-disc machines who want to fit the lever's reach to their hand as well as tune the pivot between a road and a track setting. The black anodised, CNC-machined aluminium body is made in Italy, with the lever available in seven colours.

Key Features

  • 16 mm piston diameter, sized for single-disc front brake systems
  • Three-position adjustable pivot distance: 17, 18 or 19 mm
  • Revolution lever with length adjustment by adding or removing inserts
  • Seven lever colours with a colour-matched mounting nut
  • CNC-machined aluminium body with black anodised finish
  • Offset riser that reduces master cylinder deflection under braking
  • Stainless steel screws and a galvanised steel bleed valve
  • Seals manufactured from Formula 1 compound material

Construction and Material Quality

Stainless steel screws, a galvanised steel bleed valve and Formula 1 compound seals make up the hardware on this master cylinder, chosen for how they cope with brake fluid and heat over years of use. The body is CNC-machined from aluminium and anodised black in Italy, in line with the rest of Accossato's range. An off-set riser built into the clamp limits bending under hard lever use, and the passive stroke, the travel before the pads engage, is shortened by more than 50 percent next to a conventional radial unit.

Fitting the Lever to the Rider, Not Just the Ride

The 16 mm piston on this master cylinder is Accossato's single-disc specification, and the three-position pivot, 17, 18 or 19 mm, works exactly as it does on the standard folding-lever PRS version, letting the rider pick between a lighter, more progressive road setting and a sharper track one. What sets this Revolution-lever version apart is a second, independent adjustment: the lever's own length can be shortened or lengthened by adding or removing inserts, so a rider can set the reach to their hand size first and then choose whichever pivot distance suits the day's riding, rather than accepting whatever reach a fixed-length lever happens to offer.

Fitment and Compatibility

Within our fitment records, this brake master cylinder covers 54 motorcycles, Honda's CB1100 and CB1100RS prominent among them, together with BMW's F900R and F900XR. Exact model years are set out in the Fitment tab on this page; please match the list to your own registration before ordering.

Road Approval

This brake master cylinder carries no ABE documented for this part number, so it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The package contains the Accossato CL051 radial master cylinder complete with the Revolution lever in the colour selected and its length-adjustment inserts fitted. Stainless steel mounting screws and the galvanised bleed valve are included; the stop light switch and fluid reservoir are not supplied and are ordered separately (switch under code ID001 or ID002, reservoir as a standalone item).
