DescriptionThe whole story▼

The V7 III Stone 750 goes matt where other roadsters go bright, matt paint and blacked-out engine covers giving it a deliberately understated look. Accossato's SA006 fits that approach at the steering head, an open nut threaded M29x1, machined from aluminium and anodised in seven colours, for the V7 III Stone 750 of 2017 to 2019.

Key Features

  • Steering stem nut, open pattern, for the Moto Guzzi V7 III Stone 750
  • Accossato's years: 2017 to 2019
  • M29x1 thread
  • CNC-machined aluminium, anodised
  • Seven colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium, gold
  • Fixes the upper triple clamp to the steering stem
  • Closed version SC006 also listed for this bike
  • No German ABE on file; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Machined from aluminium and anodised by Accossato in blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium or gold, the SA006 keeps the same process as every open nut in this range. The thread is M29x1, matched to the steering stem of the Stone 750, and as the open version it leaves the stem's top and engaged thread visible once torqued, unlike the fully closed SC006 built for the same bike.

Colour Against a Matt Background

A Stone 750 finished in matt black or matt grey carries almost no bright trim as standard, which means any anodised part added to it stands out rather than blending into a sea of chrome the way the same colour might on a Special. Black or titanium keeps that restrained look intact, while a colour like blue, green or gold becomes the one accent on an otherwise understated bike. Fitting the nut still means steering head work, done to the torque figures and bearing settings in the V7 III's own manual, usually scheduled for whenever the front end is already being serviced, and once it is torqued down there is nothing further to do until the next time the steering head comes apart.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the SA006 for the Moto Guzzi V7 III Stone 750 from 2017 to 2019. With its common M29x1 thread, this open nut extends to the Moto Guzzi Eldorado, the Stelvio 8V NTX 1200 and the V85TT 850 in our catalogue. For the Stone 750 itself, Accossato also offers the closed SC006.

Road Approval

No ABE or test certificate is available to us for the SA006, so it is sold for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery
