DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Z650 carries Kawasaki's naked streetfighter styling onto a parallel-twin engine, sold across 2017 to 2019 as a popular step up from smaller learner bikes. Its filler takes the common M20x2.5 thread, and Accossato's FP004 fits it in CNC-machined aluminium, anodised across eight colours.

Key Features

  • Oil filler cap for the Kawasaki Z650, 2017 to 2019
  • Thread M20x2.5, as stated by Accossato
  • Aluminium, CNC-machined and anodised
  • Eight colours: blue, green, black, orange, red, silver, titanium, gold
  • TS013 rear brake reservoir cap also listed for this bike
  • Shared thread size with several other manufacturers' bikes
  • No German ABE on file; offered for competition use
  • A popular middleweight naked with wide appeal

Construction and Material Quality

The FP004 leaves Accossato's CNC machines as a finished aluminium shape well before colour enters the picture, which comes only afterwards through anodising. With the Z650 parked in rows at nearly every dealership in the country, a filler cap in an unusual shade is one of the simplest ways an owner can pick their own bike out of a crowded car park at a glance, rather than checking the number plate every time it is parked outside a busy dealership.

Standing Out Among the Crowd

Popularity brings a kind of anonymity on the road, every Z650 looking much like the next from a distance, but underneath the paint the maintenance still deserves individual attention: engine cold, bike level, the window read before the filler is touched. Clean the area first, fit the FP004 by hand once the level is confirmed, and check underneath after the next ride regardless of how routine the job starts to feel after a season or two of steady, uneventful ownership quietly passing by largely unnoticed by anyone.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato's application for the FP004 runs across the Z650's full 2017 to 2019 production. The TS013 rear reservoir cap fits the same bike, letting both be chosen in one colour together. Several Ducati models share the identical M20x2.5 thread, which is the only reason they appear alongside a mid-size Kawasaki naked on the same list despite the obvious differences between the two ranges in both price and intended use out on the open road each day.

Road Approval

No ABE or test document for the FP004 is held by us, so the cap is listed for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

One FP004 oil filler cap is included, anodised in the colour you select.
