DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Kawasaki Z1000 SE of 2014 to 2016 carries the aggressive styling of that Z1000 generation, and it asks to be ridden with some energy. Accossato's AGPA109 front pad in the EV1 street/track compound fits the Z1000 SE of those years. It is meant for owners who enjoy quick rides on winding roads, want a firmer front brake with a clear first bite and would like to try a circuit day without switching to a full racing pad.
Key Features
- AGPA109 front pads for the Kawasaki Z1000 SE, 2014 to 2016
- EV1 street/track compound, article AGPA109EV1
- Accossato: excellent grip for fast road riding and amateur track use
- Clear, direct initial bite
- Keeps working through repeated hard stops
- Suited to open trackdays
- Same plate available as ST, EV2 and ZXC
- No German approval held; for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato presents EV1 as the compound for excellent grip in street riding and hobby-level track sessions. It offers more immediate response than the all-weather pad while staying manageable on the road. The company also points to controlled heat to limit fade, long pad life and strong stopping. The EV1 layer is bonded to the AGPA109 plate.
Weekend Rides With a Bit More Pace
On a Saturday morning with dry roads and little traffic, the Z1000 SE feels at home: strong drive out of corners and firm stops before the next one. EV1 is aimed at riders who enjoy that rhythm and want to place the bike precisely on the brakes. On a first trackday, the same pad copes with more frequent hard stops.
Before a track event, bed in fresh pads on the road, check the fluid level and inspect the discs. At the circuit, look at the pads after the morning sessions, and let the brakes cool before loading the bike.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA109 for the front of the Z 1000 SE from 2014 to 2016; our garage shows it as the Kawasaki Z1000 SE. The rear pad for the same years is AGPP102, and there is no disc listing for the SE. With two front calipers, the bike needs two boxes. Hold new and old pads side by side before fitting.
Road Approval
AGPA109EV1 has no ABE or approval mark in our records and is sold for motorsport.
Scope of Delivery
