Sprint Filter does not offer the same set of materials against every machine, and this element is a quiet example of it. The standard weave for the CFMOTO NK 450 airbox is catalogued against four models in the range; the P14 in front of you is catalogued against three. A compatibility list belongs to a part number, not to a housing, so an owner has to ask the question twice — once about the motorcycle, once about the material going into it. For the NK 450 both answers happen to be yes.
Key Features
- A dry non-woven medium rated at 14 microns, made for heavily loaded air
- Rated flow of 1,800 l/m²/sec — the litres handed back in return for that retention
- No oil at any stage, so there is no coating to dose, spread or wash out again
- Around double the filtering surface of a conventional performance element
- Occupies the original panel's outline in the series airbox; fuelling left alone
- Air-cleaned and refitted, warranted two years, specified for the life of the machine
One list belongs to one code
Part numbers here are drawn around airboxes, and the materials offered for an airbox are then listed machine by machine, which is why the sets do not always match. Having established that a CFMOTO takes a particular housing, an owner has established nothing about which cloths are catalogued for it. The same care applies in the other direction: the letters NK sit on five different capacities in the CFMOTO listing and share four element codes between them, so the 675 and 800 machines are separate housings with separate numbers.
What the finer material buys, and what it costs
Fourteen microns against the eighty of the standard weave is a long step, and the flow column is where it is paid for: a rated 1,800 l/m²/sec against 5,050. Material that holds back more passes less through a given area, always — so these are alternatives matched to conditions, not rungs on a ladder. The P14 earns its keep where the air is doing real work on the engine: unsealed lanes, harvest dust across a summer commute, building traffic, long dry spells on gritty roads. What it will not do is add anything at the other end. A bolt-in element does not make a standard NK 450 noticeably stronger, whichever cloth sits in the box.
Care and cleaning
A service here consumes nothing. Compressed air on the clean face, worked steadily across the whole panel, sends the load back out through the side that gathered it. Where a greasy film has settled that air will not shift, lukewarm water with a little mild detergent releases it, followed by a thorough rinse. Drying is then a matter of moving air and patience — never a heat gun, a radiator or a flame — and the PM270P14 returns to the box dry, with nothing applied to it. Its maintenance sheet is in the Downloads tab on this page.
Fitment & Compatibility
Cut for the airbox of the CFMOTO NK 450 as built from 2024 to 2026, one element per machine. Three CFMOTO models of 450 share this P14 code; the 675-badged NK is a different housing under a different part number. The full list is in the Fitment tab.
