Öhlins does not sell service parts as pattern equivalents — there is one specification. Service parts make the difference between a damper that is rebuilt and one that is replaced. Individual parts let a workshop replace only what is worn.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.

Getting the Number Right

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 02228-07 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Öhlins does not sell service parts as pattern equivalents — there is one specification. Replacement parts come from the same production as the components they go into.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 02228-07

Category: Service Parts

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/02228-07_32e7afb4-a840-421d-b5fa-f4829bdb1ec7.png?v=1788871571
