In Line, Not Offset

The aligned bolt pattern. Ducati uses two and the one a bike needs is determined by its master cylinder clamp, which is a thirty-second question with the old block removed.

The 2025 Hardware

Ducati revised the Streetfighter alongside the Panigale and changed the bar-mounted components with it. Earlier machines take a different block and nothing about the two interchanges.

Even Grip on the Tube

A cut clamp follows the bar's radius rather than approximating it, spreading the load instead of concentrating it. On a wide handlebar with real leverage through it, that matters more than on clip-ons.

The Snap of a Contact

Rigid aluminium walls pass the detent straight to the thumb. A plastic shell flexes marginally under pressure and takes the edge off exactly the signal the rider is relying on.

Metal Threads

Cut rather than moulded, so the fasteners can be tightened properly and released without damage. On a naked bike the block comes off whenever the bars do, which is often.

Standing in the Rain

A Streetfighter has nothing over the handlebar, so water settles there whenever the bike is parked outside. Hours of contact do the damage rather than the minutes spent riding through it.

Two Hundred and Fourteen Horsepower

The 2025 revision brought the naked bike closer to the superbike than ever before. Ducati changed the frame, the aerodynamics and the electronics rather than restyling.

A Frame With Give

Lateral stiffness reduced deliberately, because racing showed a controlled amount improves feel at extreme lean. On a naked bike the rider has less to brace against.

Wings Worked Into the Bodywork

The current aerodynamic surfaces are integrated rather than bolted on and produce more load for less drag. On a bike with no fairing that is a harder problem than it sounds.
