DescriptionThe whole story▼
Between two sessions, the pit garage is where an RSV4 RR gets its short check-up: tyre pressures, chain, a wipe of the visor, and a look at the front brake reservoir. Aprilia's RR, part of the RSV4 range from 2015 to 2019, is often ridden at a pace where the front brake works hard lap after lap, and the reservoir is the easiest place to see whether everything in the system is as it should be. Accossato's TS003 is an anodised aluminium cap for that reservoir, CNC-machined and listed for the RSV4 RR.
Key Features
- Front brake fluid reservoir cap for the Aprilia RSV4 RR, 2015 to 2019
- Replaces the cap of the original reservoir
- Machined from aluminium on CNC equipment, anodised
- Seven colours: green, black, red, gold, silver, blue, orange
- Accossato FP009 oil filler cap available for the same bike
- Fitment to be confirmed on Accossato's application list
- No German ABE documented; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
The TS003 is aluminium, worked on CNC machines and anodised; the anodised surface carries the colour, and Accossato offers green, black, red, gold, silver, blue and orange. The cap is made for the original reservoir, so the master cylinder and the rest of the front brake of the RSV4 RR keep their original parts. With the old cap off, check the seal or diaphragm underneath and renew it if it shows cracks.
Reading the Reservoir in the Pit Garage
A reservoir tells you a lot if you read it the same way every time. Put the RSV4 RR on its stands, set the bars so that the reservoir sits flat, and look at the fluid against the marks. Note what you see on your first check of the day, so you can compare after each session. Any change that you cannot explain, or any trace of fluid on the outside of the reservoir, deserves attention before the bike goes out again. Do not open the reservoir in a hurry between sessions just to have a look. Brake fluid absorbs moisture, a garage full of activity is a poor place for an open reservoir, and a spill on the fairing damages the paint unless it is washed off with water immediately. If the level really does have to be corrected, cover the bodywork, work calmly, and tighten the cap gently afterwards. Afterwards, work the lever a few times with the bike stationary. Remember too that no cap replaces a fluid change at the intervals in the owner's manual.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the TS003 for the RSV4 1000 RR from 2015 to 2019, on the original front reservoir. The same cap also appears in our catalogue for the standard RSV4, the Caponord 1200 Rally and Ducati's Multistrada 1260. Accossato's second cap for the RSV4 RR is the FP009 for the oil filler. Please compare your bike with the application list before ordering.
Road Approval
