The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper. The reservoir hose carries the full gas charge and is pressure-tested accordingly. Hose length is part of the installation and cannot be substituted freely.

Genuine Service Part

The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.

How to Be Sure It Fits

21508-05 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. The thread is M8x1. Öhlins pressure-tests hoses because they carry the full gas charge. The reservoir holds the gas charge and the oil volume the damper displaces as the shaft enters it.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21508-05

Category: Hoses

Thread: M8x1

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21508-05_54b25910-2961-466d-87d2-c6c5ff9e0d04.png?v=1788877143
