Öhlins uses metric threads throughout, but the length and head form are specific to the position.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 05009-16

Original Öhlins service part

Function

Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. Öhlins publishes them in the exploded view so a workshop can order the whole position at once. Circlips are single-use in practice: once sprung, they no longer hold their groove reliably. A wrong washer under an adjuster changes the click range without anyone noticing why.

Why the Original

Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not.

Identifying the Right Part

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 05009-16 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Öhlins publishes them in the exploded view so a workshop can order the whole position at once. Circlips are single-use in practice: once opened, the grip is no longer reliable.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05009-16

Category: Circlips

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05009-16_73ccfd58-68a0-4315-89f4-7d8fd75c2115.png?v=1788873732
