DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES KIT07 deletes the Z1000SX's secondary air system in full, electrical and mechanical in one number.
Key Features
- Kawasaki Z1000SX (2011–2019)
- Both halves of the secondary air deletion
- Solenoid eliminator and cylinder head cover
- One part number, one fitting session
- No drilling and no splicing
- Every standard part refits afterwards
Cheap Second Hand
Depreciation has been generous to buyers and the engine is famously durable. A high-mileage SX is rarely a risk.
Nineteen Litres
Enough for a genuine three hundred and fifty kilometres, which is what turns a fast motorcycle into a usable touring one.
One Session
Both pieces live within a hand's width of each other and come into reach at the same moment. Buying them separately means paying for that reach a second time.
Before the Exhaust Goes On
An aftermarket can usually goes on in the same week. Getting this out of the way beforehand stops the exhaust taking the blame for a crackle that was there before it arrived.
On a Bike Under Warranty
Removing emissions equipment gives a dealer grounds to decline a related claim, which is worth deciding about before the parts are ordered.
The Honest Summary
A quieter overrun, a clean panel and two fewer perishable components. No power, no response and no consumption change, which is what an emissions delete does and all it does.
A Complete Job Is Worth More
A half-finished deletion is harder to explain to a buyer than either a standard motorcycle or a properly converted one. It is worth finishing.
Nothing Internal
No part of this touches the inside of the engine, the cooling system or the fuel delivery. It is all external hardware.
Renamed Partway Through
The Z1000SX became the Ninja 1000 SX in 2020 along with a substantial update, which confuses used listings and parts searches to this day. Establishing the model year matters more than the name.
Traction Control From 2014
Kawasaki added it partway through the run along with riding modes, which brought the SX up to where the class had moved while nobody was watching.
The Sports Tourer Nobody Called One
Kawasaki gave the Z1000 a fairing and panniers and produced one of the most quietly capable motorcycles of its decade. Owners cover serious distance on them, which is exactly when a stored fault becomes a nuisance rather than a curiosity.
