DescriptionThe whole story▼
A ceramic racing pad is an unusual thing to fit to a tracker-styled naked, but some MT-09 Sport Trackers from 2015 and 2016 have ended up as dedicated track bikes, and their owners want the full choice of compounds. Accossato's AGPA97ZXC gives them the ZXC ceramic racing compound on the Sport Tracker's front plate. It is for the rider who already has one racing pad in the toolbox and wants to find out whether a ceramic material suits a particular circuit or riding style better.

Construction and Material Quality
ZXC is Accossato's ceramic racing material, which the company sums up as ideal for racing. On the AGPA97 plate for the Sport Tracker, it gives the rider a friction material with its own character, an alternative to the other racing pad on the same shape. Accossato designs all its pads to hold temperatures in check and so limit fade.
Finding the Right Material
No single pad suits every rider and every circuit. Some prefer a strong initial bite, others a smoother build-up that lets them trail the brake deep into a corner. On a track-only Sport Tracker, trying a ceramic set against the usual racing pad is a straightforward experiment: fit it for one session, bed it in, and compare lap times and feel. Take notes immediately after each session. If the ceramic set suits you, keep a record of how quickly it wears at each circuit so you can plan replacements for the season.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA97 for the front of the MT-09 Sport Tracker built in 2015 and 2016, and the AGPP88 for the rear. With two front calipers, a full front set needs two boxes, and both sides should be done together. Clean the pistons, check the discs and use fresh fluid. The DK077 and DKS073 discs are also on Accossato's list for this bike. Bed in the ceramic pads in the first session.
Road Approval
This ceramic pad has no German ABE, test certificate or approval mark on our files. The AGPA97ZXC is sold for circuit racing and competition use.
