DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Z800 takes the same 14 mm fork hexagon used on a surprisingly broad spread of Accossato's preload range, shared with machines from Ducati's adventure line to Suzuki's naked sportbikes, and this adjuster is sized to fit it precisely. CNC-machined in aluminium and anodised to order, the pair replaces the stock preload caps on each fork leg, giving the Z800's streetfighter stance a clean, deliberately finished detail at the top of the forks where a worn factory cap would otherwise sit.

Key Features

  • Fork preload adjuster for the Kawasaki Z800, 2013-2016
  • 14 mm internal hexagon
  • CNC-machined aluminium, anodised to order
  • Supplied as a pair, one adjuster per fork leg
  • Seven colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium, gold
  • Also fits any adjuster with the same 14 mm hexagon
  • ST002 and ST008 are also listed for this Z800
  • No German ABE on file; offered for track use

Construction and Material Quality

This adjuster is CNC-machined from aluminium, carrying a 14 mm hexagon and an anodised finish in seven colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium and gold. Accossato's stated function stays consistent across the whole preload range: the ring adjusts the pre-stressing of the fork springs, nothing beyond that, regardless of which bike it ends up fitted to.

A Shared Hexagon Across Very Different Bikes

It says something about how fork hardware gets specified that this exact 14 mm hexagon turns up on a naked streetfighter like the Z800 and on adventure-touring machines from an entirely different maker, rather than being unique to any one platform. For a Z800 owner, that means parts availability is wider than the model name alone would suggest, since the adjuster is built to a dimension rather than to a brand, and that dimension does not change from one maker to the next.

Fitment and Compatibility

This adjuster covers the Z 800, built between 2013 and 2016. The hexagon, not the badge on the tank, is what decides most of the rest of its fitment: the BMW S1000RR, the Ducati Desert X and both Multistrada generations, the Kawasaki ZZR1400, and three Suzuki models carry the identical 14 mm size. Swingarm bobbins ST002 and ST008 round out the Accossato parts listed for this Z800.

Road Approval

No test or approval documents, including an ABE, are held for this adjuster, so it is offered for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The pack contains two adjusters, one per fork leg, in the colour chosen at checkout. No tools travel with the pair.
